New 2019 Brand Ambassador Line Up Announced

Jump 4 Joy have announced the selection of 4 new brand ambassadors for 2019.

Eventers Alice Goring and Vic Brant, Para Rider Evie Toombes and young eventer and showjumper Jasmine Underwood have all been selected following an extensive social media campaign that saw several hundred entries from potential candidates around the world.

The Jump 4 Joy Ambassador Programme has become one of the most aspirational schemes in the equestrian industry, recognised by riders for its innovative programme of activities and events, involvement with world class riders, top notch training, and money-can’t buy experiences opening up new opportunities and avenues in the equestrian world.

“We really want to provide our ambassadors with opportunities that would otherwise not be available to them through our wide network of industry contacts,” says Jump 4 Joy Managing Director Nigel Underwood.

“As well as receiving kit and fees for training or competitions, this year our outgoing ambassadors have had the chance to course walk Badminton with the world’s number one eventer Ros Canter, meet and interview William Fox-Pitt, train their horses at an exclusive clinic with international showjumper Paul Gaff, and even go behind the scenes of a TV show with Horse & Country TV. We very much look forward to sharing a similar programme with our new ambassadors for 2019.”

Jump 4 Joy Announce Support for Three “Stars of the Future”

The UK’s leading show jump manufacturer Jump 4 Joy has announced that as part of their Ambassador programme, they are sponsoring 3 “up-and-coming” riders in showjumping and eventing.

Paul Gaff, Millie Dumas and Georgie Spence have all been selected to receive sponsorship from the company as part of their initiative to assist riders rising through the ranks in their chosen specialism.

Paul Gaff, who came from a non-horsey background started riding in his local Pony Club around the age of 5, progressing to FEI 2* eventing. He is now focusing on pure show jumping, having already jumped his first Grand Prix and had much success from national 4yo classes to 1.40M level as well as winning big classes at a Hickstead Derby meeting and the All England Jumping Championships.

Commenting on his sponsorship with Jump 4 Joy, Paul said,” I’m really excited to be working with Jump 4 Joy. The light weight wings and weighted poles make them very easy to move around, and change courses easily, as well as all the different designs being great for schooling spooky horses over!”

26-year-old event rider Millie Dumas already has a wealth of experience behind her winning at many levels. Amongst her many achievements to date, Millie has been selected for the Young Horse World Championships a commendable 4 times at Le Lion d'Angers 2012 ,2016, 2017 & 2018. She was the winner at Millstreet CCI** 2018 and is a regular GB Nations Cup team member winning Team Silver at Millstreet and Team Gold at Waregem 2018. Millie said, “I am delighted to be in working with Jump 4 Joy. The jumps are long lasting and low maintenance which is why we have used them for over 20 years now - we wouldn't use anything else. We are lucky enough to have a full set of show jumps on the grass which are a huge asset to us and for others who train here, they are extremely educational for horses of all levels."

Georgie Spence has also racked up an impressive eventing track record to date, competing on her first Senior Nations Cup in Austria in 2017, and was the overall winner of the CIC*** at Wiener Neustadt, Austria. In 2018, Georgie added another two Badminton competitions, with clears XC and a top 20 on Wii Limbo. On her first trip to America, to compete in the Nations Cup team they won team gold. She then headed to Millstreet where she and ‘Harley’ won their first CCI***. A top 20 at another Burghley with Wii Limbo, was topped off with selection onto the “World Class Podium Potential” podium. Georgie commented, “I am very excited to be working with Jump 4 Joy. Over the last few years I have slowly been adding to my collection of Jump 4 Joy fences, and am now lucky enough to have a full course on grass and some fences in my arena which are both educational for my horses and for the clients that I teach!

Georgie, Paul and Millie will join world champion event rider Ros Canter and Olympic eventer William Fox-Pitt on Jump 4 Joy’s impressive roster of high profile riders to be sponsored by the company.

Nigel Underwood, Managing Director at Jump 4 Joy commented, “It is really important to us to be supporting the next generation of riders coming through the ranks. In their own way, all three of our sponsored riders have shown their potential for world class success and we believe they are destined to be stars of the future so we are really looking forward to supporting them and sharing in their successes."

He added, “It is a great testament to our product that all 3 of our sponsored riders, as well as our ambassadors Ros Canter and William Fox Pitt have all chosen to train with our jumps and we are thrilled that through providing first class jumps we can help contribute towards their future achievements.”

New Year New Brand Ambassador as Jump 4 Joy Team Up with World Champion Event Rider Ros Canter

The UK’s leading showjump manufacturer Jump 4 Joy is welcoming in the new year with an exciting announcement that they will be supporting world champion eventer Ros Canter who will become their newest Brand Ambassador in 2019.

Ros will join Olympic eventer William Fox-Pitt, and international showjumper and eventer Paul Gaff on the roster of high profile riders to be sponsored by the company.

Nigel Underwood, Managing Director at Jump 4 Joy commented,

“We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Ros. During 2018 we have supported her programme of lecture demos with BE u18 event coach Caroline Moore and have found her to be both inspirational and highly professional. Her track record is outstanding and we are delighted that Ros has chosen our jumps to support her training programme in preparation for her UK and international season in 2019 and beyond.

He added, “We have a number of initiatives planned with Ros for 2019 including supporting some more demonstrations, some editorial opportunities and importantly a chance for our customers to meet Ros in person at our stand at a key British event later in the year. We are very much looking forward to working with her.”

Commenting on her new role as Brand Ambassador for Jump 4 Joy, Ros said,

“I am over the moon and really excited to be joining Jump 4 joy as a sponsored rider. Their jumps allow me to simulate questions we find at a competition at home so that I can prepare my team for the challenges they face as event horses. The addition of their xc fences have been a huge benefit to my facility at home.

Our Adopted Ponies

Our fabulous adopted ponies Rumpel and Wensley have been having an exciting few weeks, with the children’s half-term meaning that the special “We Love Horses” activity weeks returned to their home at Redwings Oxhill in Warwickshire. All the extra visitors, including a couple who travelled all the way from Kent, meant they received plenty of extra fuss and a few carrots, too!

Rumpel has discovered a new trick… he’s found that if he tip-toes back after the gate to his paddock has been opened in the morning, he gets to finish up the breakfast hay that’s been left while his pals munch away on the grass!

By the way, it turns out Wensley has a girlfriend! Tilly! Who knew! More on that next time!

Jump 4 Joy To Support Redwings Horse Sanctuary

Jump 4 Joy, the UK’s leading manufacturer of showjumps has proudly announced a programme of support for the UK’s largest horse sanctuary, Redwings.

The company has increased its emphasis on horse welfare this year. Nigel Underwood, MD at Jump 4 Joy commented on the company’s decision to select Redwings as its chosen charity,

“The welfare of all animals and especially horses is of particular importance to us at Jump 4 Joy. We are aware that there is a crisis in the UK with thousands of horses, ponies and donkeys at risk of neglect, cruelty and in need of rehoming.

“Whilst legislation such as the Control of Horses Act is a huge step in the right direction, we are aware that often the onus falls to welfare charities to practically carry out the collection, rehabilitation and rehoming of such equines, all at great cost.

“So, we are delighted to get involved with supporting Redwings Horse Sanctuary who are doing an amazing job when it comes to rescuing abandoned, mistreated and neglected horses and donkeys from across the UK, giving them a safe place to live and providing essential veterinary treatment, rehabilitation and lifelong care.”

Jump 4 Joy will be offering Redwings a number of benefits from its support including donating show jumps to the Sanctuary’s rehoming centres, providing support for fundraising campaigns, raising awareness of the charity’s activities and events through social media and marketing initiatives, giving customers the ability to donate through links on its website www.showjumps.com and the adoption of a horse.

Redwings Chief Executive Lynn Cutress said: “As a 100% publicly funded charity, raising awareness of our work is incredibly important so we are very grateful to Jump 4 Joy for their support of Redwings. We are also delighted with their generous donation of jumps for our rehoming centres, especially as we are currently expanding our rehoming operations with new training facilities for ridden horses at our Caldecott centre in Norfolk and Oxhill centre in Warwickshire.

“Redwings has been operating at maximum capacity, with 1,500 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules in our care, for several years. By increasing our rehoming operations we are freeing up space at the Sanctuary to be able to continue our rescue work, so Jump 4 Joys support will make a real difference in helping us to continue to help horses in need.”

Capital Idea!
We've been getting the "London Look" this month with our fabulous new London bus and Big Ben wings! Do you think your horse could  jump over a bus? 😉

What we’ve been up to recently!

It’s been an exciting few weeks as we’ve been rubbing shoulders with the stars, getting ourselves ready for our TV debut not to mention welcoming customers old and new to our final show of the year -  Burghley.

And, what a show Burghley was! We love meeting our customers and we were delighted to welcome so many of you to our stand. Our three ambassadors had the pleasure of meeting our most well-known ambassador William Fox-Pitt in person, getting the chance to ask him some burning questions not to mention getting some top tips on riding techniques. They then went on a cross-country coursewalk around Burghley getting William’s unique perspective on riding it. Our ambassadors were joined by Jessica May the winner of our Burghley tickets competition.

Back on the stand a little later in the day, William made a guest appearance signing autographs and having selfies with fans. We were inundated with crowds and William spent over an hour chatting with everyone.

We were also visited by Caroline Moore, BE Coach who came to chat with us about her Jump 4 Joy sponsored lecture tour she is about to launch. Caroline will be joined by Ros Canter and Heidi Coy at four venues around the country during November demonstrating the different stages of training the modern-day event horse from youngster to top level. Tickets are available at www.myridinglife.com… and they’re going fast, so don’t miss out!

This month, we have also signed a deal with Horse & Country TV to sponsor the showjumping and xc modules of the reality TV competition All Star Academy. It’s the first time we’ve been involved in TV and we are really excited about it! Look out on our social media for more news as we get ready for our TV debut!

Jump 4 Joy Announce Sponsorship of Horse & Country TV’s All Star Academy.

Jump 4 Joy, the UK’s leading manufacturer of show jumps has announced its sponsorship of the showjumping and cross country jumping modules of the forthcoming series of Horse & Country TV’s Omega Equine All Star Academy.

Described as a cross between The Apprentice and Pony Club camp, the show will see eight finalists put to the test over a full course of Jump 4 Joy’s show jumps, as well as a selection of their cross-country fences.

The overall winner of the jumping modules will win a set of Jump 4 Joy show jumps worth over £1300.

Nigel Underwood, Managing Director of Jump 4 Joy commented,” We are really excited to be working with Horse & Country TV on this show. Our reputation for manufacturing top quality, highly colourful and creative jump designs has been instrumental in our involvement in the show, and we are very much looking forward to building a unique showjumping course designed to test the skills of both the horse and rider.”

He added, “We are also very pleased to be able to include our cross-country fences in the mix, too. We have been developing our range of xc jumps and have introduced some exciting new options including the hanging brush filler and super-skinny 70cm brush that we know offers some exciting challenges for riders!”

On behalf of H&C, Director and Chief Creative Officer Richard Burdett added, “We’re delighted to be working with Jump 4 Joy on this Series. The modules have become such an integral part of the show as well as being a great showcase for our brand partners. We’re looking forward to an extremely colourful module which will really put our contestants to the test.”

The show which is due to be filmed in September will be filmed at the Talland School of Equitation, with Pammy Hutton and her son Charlie as mentors and judges for the contestants. The finalists will also get the chance to be taught by the leading names in equestrian sport. The show is scheduled to be aired in November 2018.

What we’ve been up to this month…

July’s been a busy month here at Jump 4 Joy. We’ve had trade stands at both major Hickstead events which has been great fun. At both The Al Shiraa’a Derby and The Royal International, we were delighted to have our jumps put to good use in the warm up rings. We’ve given away member’s tickets to both events in social media competitions and there’s still time to win your own set of Jump 4 Joy Hickstead planks – check out our Facebook page for more info.

We love meeting our customers face to face at shows like Hickstead and getting feedback on our products. We’re always keen to hear your stories and ideas for new jumps, and as we design and make all our jumps in house, we have the flexibility to make adjustments and come up with innovative new concepts to meet our customer’s demands.

Our stand at the royal International, Hickstead

We are working closely with Caroline Moore, the British Eventing Coach who has championed our skinny hanging brush fence and tasked us with creating an even smaller 70cm version to really challenge the horse and rider. This prototype went out on test with Caroline this month and received the thumbs up from her and her riders and its now live on our website ready to buy!

We’ve had an office move into a bigger office building on our existing site at Inkberrow in Worcestershire, giving more space for our production team to get on with the all-important jump-making process. In fact, our factory has been working flat out to fulfill our orders, we’ve taken on new staff, brought in new machinery and developed new software to improve our efficiency. Customer service is hugely important to us and this month we have been all-guns blazing to get our orders despatched and keep our customers happy.

July also saw the culmination of this year’s Search for a Brand Ambassador. We were stunned by the number of entries we received and our judging panel had the unenviable task of finding just three individuals who we felt would best represent our business for the forthcoming year.

At the Hickstead Al Shiraa’a Derby we finally met up with our winning three new Ambassadors Elly Wishart, Chloe Ancill and Grace Victory, and we are really looking forward to working with them going forward.

Next stop Burghley – our final trade show of the year! Come and see us there!

Exciting New Jump Designs Launched

When it comes to jump designs, Jump 4 Joy, are renowned for our creativity, colour and style.

Our latest offering delivers all of those things and comes in the form of a unique tulip design requested for an Australian customer. It might be mid-summer here – but in Australia Spring is just around the corner!

“As with all Jump 4 Joy designs, this one will be customisable with clients able to choose their tulip colours, with poles and wings to match,” says MD Nigel Underwood. Customers globally will soon be able to order this floral fence on the Jump 4 Joy website.

Also, newly available is a cross country fence that was requested specifically by Caroline Moore FBHS British Eventing National U18 Coach. Caroline has had a lot of success with Jump 4 Joy’s 90cm hanging brush fence, using it regularly in her training videos and for schooling horse and riders over skinny jumps.

Nominated as Caroline’s favourite training aid, she was keen to further develop the concept with an even skinnier version, requesting Jump 4 Joy make a 70cm brush that can be used as a standalone fence or in conjunction with the 90cm version to make a skinny brush arrowhead.

The 70cm skinny brush is now available to buy on the website www.showjumps.com priced at £243.
