Budding Artists Beat Lockdown Blues with Magic Show Jump Designs

Jump 4 Joy are never short of an exciting new jump design – they are renowned for their creative styling. But this month, they have been inundated with over 1000 designs from budding equestrian artists beating the lockdown blues in a competition hosted by the showjump manufacturer on their social media channels @jump4joyshowjumps.

The competition prize was to have the winning design made into a real jump, and literally hundreds of designs flooded in from around the world.

“Tributes for the NHS featured heavily in the submissions – a reflection of the lockdown period we have been living through, “commented Nigel Underwood, MD at Jump 4 Joy. “We were absolutely delighted not only with the sheer number of designs we received, but the quality which was truly outstanding – there are some very talented designers out there,” he added.

The original competition allowed for just one winner, but so high were the standards, Jump 4 Joy judges decided to extend the prizes to include 10 runners up who each received an exclusive goody containing kit and gift vouchers.

The final winning design was created by Maddie Larwood Smith whose “Magic” jump featured a rabbit in a top hat filler and magic wand poles and wings. “We are looking forward to creating a new jump out of this design,” said Nigel. “We hope to create 3D magic wand wings so this will be a truly fun jump.”

Jump 4 Joy have also been busy developing their own new designs and are pleased to add the Tropical Pineapple and NHS Superheroes jump to their portfolio.

“It was important to us to pay tribute to the NHS workers who have supported us all through this difficult period in time,” said Nigel. “All profits from this jump will be donated to NHS charities,” he added.
